For the month of March, I am going to do handmade journals. There are a variety of ways you can make journals. I'll share a few links with directions. They are cheap and don't take too much time. I will mostly be doing mod podge (decopodge) journals and creating old books into journals. See the links:
Decopodge Journal: this has good instructions but I would use colored paper and such instead of magazines. http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Decopodge-Journal/
Creating Old Books into Journals: There are many ways to do this, I prefer the first link with a few modifications. Others are good though too.
1) http://www.punkprojects.com/2012/04/salvaging-book-giveaway-guest-post-from.html I would only do steps 1-3 though. If you wanted to add some pictures or quotes on some pages that would work. But in general, I'd leave most pages blank.

If you have an idea, Google it or look it up on Pinterest. It is probably possible and I'm sure you can make it look amazing!
If you take a look at the numbers below, these are cancer survivors. Think about those who weren't able to survive. Then think about out of all of those people connected to a loved one with cancer, that is a lot of people who are affected by cancer. This is something that most people can connect with. I want to reach out and make this difficult time a little bit more comfortable.
